Meh

Note to self: avoid protests during home games.

Sure, it seems like you'll have a nice big crowd, which is true. Problem is, they won't care.

It wasn't really fail, as lots of people saw my sign, but it wasn't much win as I made it a one-man protest, and barely gave out any flyers. A few people recognized the meme; one guy actually called me EFG and someone else I did talk to knew a little about the 4chan connection. Didn't get any pics unfortunately. There'll be a few of me, masked, floating around out there. Saw a camera phone or two.

So meh. I dunno. Needs moar Anons.

Um, Two Things

Hey all.

If anyone in State College wants to know where to get a mask, I can give you a couple pointers. No Spirit Halloween here yet, but of all places Hot Freakin' Topic had a bunch; I just gave those long-haired freaky people seven bucks for one. There's also a store downtown that added a Halloween section; don't remember the name offhand.

If anyone knows where to get one in Altoona or Harrisburg, post a comment or mention it on the forum; there might be a topic on masks yet on either Why We Protest or Scientology Exposed. (Reminds me, gotta update the links)

Speaking of those forums, I'm having trouble accessing those two. My attempts to reach them are timing out. Even the main page! Shit, I hope we're not getting DDoS'ed again.

October 18 Raid

Raid date, time, location is set!

Where: Junction of Allen st. and College Ave., downtown State College (Allen St. Gates)
When: 11 am - 1 pm , Saturday, October 18
Who: YOU

Pretty standard raid; carry signs and pass out flyers. I've got a crapload of flyers to pass out, so I don't think we'll run out. We can't set up a table but we could make a sandwich-board type sign.

Since Enturb is down, there's now a thread at the Scientology Exposed forums. Seems like everyone is flocking there.

EDIT: Masks are tentatively ok, I do need to send an e-mail and check; and NO AMPLIFICATION. No rickrolling State College, sadly. (If ever a town needed it...)

While Enturb is Down

Apparently there have been some management issues over at enturb: according to this thread on OCMB it's going to be down for two weeks. Scientology Exposed is one place to go, there's a link over there for the Centrebulation Forums, and I guess most of the other local forums haven't been too badly affected. Unfortunately, this does appear to be a problem as our central hub is down through no enemy effort, but rather internal problems.

New Raid Dates

Greetings fellow Centrebulators! State College is looking at two more possible raids, both in October. I'm currently negotiating the 4th and/or 18th (I'm now leaning towards the 18th as it coincides with the October worldwide raid) with PSU reps; I'll announce as soon as I have all the info.

Special Announcement

Centrebulation has a new forum! For those of you interested in spreading YFTC's and dox, or planning and attending raids (why do we keep saying raid, anyway? It's not like we're the Royal Canadian Air Force or anything), or other projects, the Centrebulation Forums are now open!

Remember, within 25 miles of Altoona, State College, or Harrisburg is our focus.

EDIT: link in sidebar for future reference.

Pics or it didn't happen

Oh yes it did!

By the way, I counted the flyers that were left over and there were exactly 50. Assuming ?/0 had 30 or 40 leftovers from the Pittsburgh raid the weekend before, we gave out 140 flyers at best! I thinthere are a lot of students here and other Centre County residents that are NOT going to let Scientology get a foothold in their community.

One thing I wish I'd done is given myself enough time to get the media around here in the know. Novice organizer is novice, though, so I have a partial excuse. Also I need to learn to delegate. However, valuable experience points were gained and I think the next raid will have some more epic than this one.

We're From The Internet

Well, State College, PA, just got a little more enturbulated. ?/0 and I (H-20-66) finished a raid downtown. at 1 pm today. I'm glad we finished when we did, considering it's raining now.

Background info was done and paperwork was filled out this past week (YAY NOVICE ORGANIZER), and we met this morning at the Creamery on the Penn State Campus. ?/0 had his V mask, hat and cape, and looked friggin' awesome; I had my PSU baseball cap and a bandanna and looked like I just stepped out from the tinfoil hat crowd... But anyway...

We unfurled our signs in front of the Pattee Library and walked down to the gates at 11; ?/0 passed out a few flyers and even gave out a free hug or two. Once we got down to the gates, we started passing out lots of flyers and talking to people. Most people seemed willing to listen; but a lot still turned down flyers. I had a few long conversations with people-and most were about the masks! We had to have handed out more than 100 flyers, maybe even as many as 150, and we got at least 50 honks from passing cars.

A note about the honkers: we did get a semi to honk, and one guy in a pickup truck came by with a diesel locomotive (no, not Venusian) airhorn! Damned if that wasn't loud! ?/0 later mentioned that he did a double-take at that point, wondering where the train was!

A couple odd people came up to us during our picket; ?/0 talked to a guy who seemed like one of the tinfoil-hat crowd, talking about mind control using microchips.

Before that, I was accosted by a dude who came RIGHT UP to me and kept asking me "Who is your God?" and asking us to "declare our Lord and Savior". At first my bullbaiting alarm went off and I just stalled; but we eventually figured him out and I did say that we were there against Scientology only, and spreading his good news was his job. I fear I might have been harsh to say so. If you're reading this, Ecstatic Christian Dude, I didn't mean to offend you; I was just trying to Stay On Target.

I think we did a pretty good job of getting the message out in town, the 10th was foreshadowed, and we really ought to do this again.

Up and Running

Welcome fellow Anonymous of Central Pennsylvania. I'm known as H-20-66 on enturbulation.org.

Any Anons who are in the Central Pennsylvania area, and would like to perform local mini-raids (State College, Altoona, Harrisburg, and other nearby cities) can inform me and I'll post the information here. I'd prefer to post raid info as close to the actual date as possible (24-48 hours). This is mostly for the element of surprise.

?/0 and I over at enturb are planning an awareness raid in downtown State College for May 3 (so far-look for the thread in the mini-raid forum). If anyone can make it, post there and keep an eye on the blog for details.

I'm also willing to help get groups together to go to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. I've posted a link to the Anonymous: Pittburgh blog, but I need to know if there is a Philly equivalent to link to.

Also, a word of warning about my organizational style: I have trouble getting around the whole 'cloak-and-dagger' thing, so if it seems like I'm pretending to be 007, kick me in the nuts, please.
